Jerri Burleson (l) and Lori Moss (r) - Owners: Jerri and Lori's daughters have a passion for the sport of gymnastics and have inspired them to give every child at this gym the opportunity to excel, not only at gymnastics, but in life as well. Both Jerri and Lori are Level 8 USAG judges with backgrounds in gymnastics, dance and fitness. They have exciting plans for the future of WNCAC and are dedicated to giving you and your child the best the gym can offer! Mihai Lajos- Head Women's Team Coach: Former coach of Olympian Oana Ban, 2004 Romanian Olympic Team Member, Mihai brings the highest level of skill and expertise to WNCAC. He has coached our Optional Level 7 team all the way to 1st place at the 2008 State Championships! He has been working hard with all the team girls to prepare for a spectacular 08/09 season.

Olivia Dyer - Assistant Women's Team Coach: A former student of Mihai Lajos, Olivia was an eight-time State All-Around Champion - Levels 4 to 10; Level 10 Regional Champion, and a Level 10 National Qualifier. She was evaluated by Bela Karolyi and was hand-picked to tour with the 2000 TJ Maxx Tour of Champions. Olivia was awarded a 5-year gymnastics scholarship to Auburn University where she placed 11th in the 2003 NCAA Gymnastics National Championships.

Lauren Neale - Pre-Team, Preschool, and Recreational Coach: Lauren has been a gymnast since she was 5 years old and considered the gym her home away from home. Lauren began teaching gymnastics while still in high school and when she moved to Wilmington to attend college, she quickly found a job coaching at a local gym. Now Lauren is back at her home gym and excited to continue her work with kids by helping to instill discipline, patience, teamwork, self esteem, and most of all...a love for the sport of gymnastics.

Heather Jenkins - Pre-Team, Preschool, Special Needs, and Jump Rope Coach: Heather was a competitive gymnast for five years and a competitive jump roper for six years. She has been coaching gymnastics for the past six years. Upon graduating high school, Heather received a scholarship for coaching recreational and special needs gymnastics. She is currently enrolled in a 2+2 program at Blue Ridge Community College and Mars Hill College. Her major is Elementary Education.

Kelly Cooke - Preschool, Recreational, and Summer Camp Coach: Kelly studied and competed in gymnastics under the direction of Ron Galimore in Tallahassee, FL. She attended UNC-Asheville and graduated in 2005 with a BA in Financial Accounting. Her husband, Matt, is a former Top Dragster racing champion. Both Kelly and Matt enjoy racing in the NHRA and IHRA circuit. She drives a dragster in the Super Comp class. During her spare time, Kelly is training for the Zooma Half Marathon.

Steve Ledford - Level 4 Commando Krav Maga Instructor, AWSDA Rape Prevention Instructor: Steve began his martial arts training in Tae Kwon Do (WTF) in 1990 under Master Troy Jung Kwon. He studied Shotokan in the early 1990s and soon became interested in grappling due to his wrestling background. When Steve was introduced to Moni Aizik and CKM, he was immediately struck by the similarities between CKM and the Modern Warrior philosophies, and further realized the benefit of studying a system in use by Israeli Special Forces on the battlefields today. Steve was accepted to train under Moni Aizik and is now a Level 4 Instructor.

Amy Williford - Front Office and Webmaster: Amy's career began while she was still in college working as a news reporter at a local radio station. That position opened the door to a 17 + year journey in marketing, public relations and fundraising. From marketing Clarksville/Montgomery County, TN to managing a statewide association to coordinating a $1.5 million fundraising campaign for United Way, she finally has found the perfect job where she can merge her 2 passions...fitness and marketing/graphic design!
