Team Olympia is the USA Gymnastics Women's Junior Olympic (JO) competitive team of WNCAC. USA Gymnastics is the sole national governing body (NGB) for the sport of gymnastics in the United States. It gets this designation from the International Olympic Committee and the International Gymnastics Federation. USA Gymnastics sets the rules and policies that govern gymnastics in this country.
Team Olympia has JO 38 members competing in Prep-Optional levels (Rookies through Prep1) or Optional levels (Levels 7 through 10). Members of the team are selected by invitation only. Please read Team Olympia Try-Out Policy if you are interested in trying out for our team. All of our team members and team parents are expected to abide by our Team Rules and Policies. A signed copy of these rules will be kept in the team member's file.
Under the current management, ALL Team Olympia members have qualified for state and regionals the past two years and were very successful at those meets. We are very proud of the team's accomplishments which include several All Around Champions at all levels, several Event Title Holders at all levels, and many of our team members earned spots on the North Carolina Regional Team.
The team's competitive season begins after the first of the year an runs through April. Members travel all across the southeast to compete, including recent meets in Raleigh, NC; Knoxville, TN; Clemson, SC and Charleston, SC. After qualifying for and competing at the state competition, team members focus on regional and national competitions.
Team Olympia gymnasts work hard year round to prepare for the challenges they will face on their way to 1st place! In addition to school and 3+ hours of practice a day, the team is raising money to help pay for their coaches fees and meet fees. Will you help support the girls by donating to the to the team?
